Examination Registration

The CFTe I exam is offered in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Arabic, year-round, at testing centers throughout the world, through Pearson VUE, IFTA’s computer-based testing provider. The candidate chooses, the date, time, and location of their exam. See below instructions on how to register.

To register for the CFTe I:

IFTA Member Colleague (Member of any IFTA Member of Developing Member Society)

1. Complete the Candidate Eligibility Information data form and submit to your local society requesting authorization to test. Incomplete forms will be returned.
2. The local society forwards the eligibility data to IFTA, verifying your membership expiration date.
3. IFTA will send you an Authorization to Test letter, via email, with further instructions on how to proceed with registration through Pearson VUE.

Non-Member

1. Click here to Register Now! Note: A non-member fee of $200.00 US is due with this application. The remaining balance of $500.00 US is payable to Pearson VUE, IFTA’s computer-based testing provider, at the time of registration. IFTA will send you an Authorization to Test letter, via email, with further instructions on how to proceed with registration through Pearson VUE.

In preparation for the CFTe exams, candidates should download the appropriate Syllabus and Study Guide below. Please ensure the correct Syllabus and Study Guide is chosen for study purposes.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

For a full refund, cancellations must be received in writing (receipted email, fax, or mail) by the final registration deadline date, usually six weeks prior to the examination date. Each candidate may also postpone the examination ONCE up to ten (10) business days prior to the examination date. Requests for postponement must also be received in writing (receipted email, fax, or mail). In addition to the above, IFTA will make a best effort to accommodate candidates who are forced to cancel or postpone late because of serious medical issues or other emergencies. Non-refundable charges may be incurred.

Privacy Statement

Privacy and confidentiality is fundamental to professional relationships. We do not monitor visitors to this site. This site does not use information collection software to gather any information on visiting patterns. Credit card information is not stored on our site or server. All information and correspondence between you and IFTA is regarded as confidential. We will not sell, share, rent, or otherwise release any information to any third party outside of IFTA under any circumstance.
