How to Join IFTA The Membership Application Process starts with submitting the following items to the Membership Chairman: - Letter from the President / Chair of the proposed society addressed to Alex Douglas, Chair, Membership Committee, IFTA, making a request to be accepted as a member society. This letter should contain (in the body or in form of attached documents) the following information (in English)
- Constitution and Bylaws of the Society
- Code of Ethics (if your society has one)
- List and brief curriculum vitae of elected officers of the society (including chairman, treasurer, secretary)
- Membership numbers (no society may have fewer than 5 members)
- Description of society activities (including regularity and type of meetings, educational activities, etc.)
Approved applications are granted Developing Society member status, for a maximum of two years. During this time they are entitled to most IFTA benefits and excused from paying membership dues.
