Technicals to Trading Systems Course (Week 6)
The 12-week online course, starting on 2 April, explores how technical analysis can form the basis for constructing trading systems. It covers basic principles of discretionary trading using technical analysis and delves into what is required to create evidence-based trading systems.
Areas covered include examining technical concepts that have worked in the past and can provide an edge; taking technical concepts and evolving these into a trading system; identifying and evaluating the components parts of a trading system; understanding the philosophy and functionality of backtesting, including being able to determine backtesting results, and avoiding common backtesting pitfalls.
By the end of the course, delegates will have the insights to help build and run discretionary and automated trading systems. For full details, click here.

Delivered online via Zoom, this course runs for twelve two-hour sessions, 6pm-8pm UK time on the following dates in 2025:

• Delegates will have the opportunity to take an examination on Wednesday 9 July (morning) to be awarded the Society of Technical Analysts ‘Certificate in Technicals to Trading Systems.’

To participate you must be a member of the STA. The cost for 12 months membership for an Associate Member is £85.
